Kriya Sharira Introduction

It involves understanding the principles of human body functions as well as human physiology from an Ayurvedic point of view. It is very important to study the action body (physiology) as it is the basis of the treatment of any disease. Ayurveda is the concept of body function that deals with the functions of the doshas, dhatu, and mala. The definition of a healthy person as described by WHO is similar to that of Acharya Sushruta. The course empowers the students to use body exercises in daily life and in the treatment of diseases. Detailed preparation and exposure is given to the students to equip them with the capabilities for expert development and to pave a way for their profession.

समदोषः समाग्निश्च समधातुमलक्रियः ।
प्रसन्नात्मेन्द्रियमनाः स्वस्थ इत्यभिधीयते।"

Facilities in the Department :

• Cabines:- Well furnished and ventilated cabine is allotted for each teaching faculty.
• Department laboratory:- In laboratory we teach about Ayurvedic Practical as Assessment of Prakriti, Dosha, (features of Vriddhi-Kshaya), Dhatu, Agni, Koshtha,Sara, Nadi Pariksha as well as Physiology Practical as collection of blood sample.
• Prepration of blood smear and staining,Hb%, RBC count, WBC count,DLC,PCV,ESR,BT,CT,Blood Group and Rh,ECG,Examination of Respiratory System and Nervous System.
